Brownies made with Avocado Oil

BrowniesOne thing that keeps on coming up in talking to our customers is how wonderful Ahuacatlan Avocado Oil makes brownies.  They are incredibly moist and the oil extenuates the chocolate in the brownies with a buttery richness.

You can use your favorite brownie recipe and just replace the butter or oil with Ahuacatlan Avocado Oil.  Remember, the Ahuacatlan is not just great for making brownies but for all your favorite baked goods.

If you are looking for a simple brownie recipe, here is one:


  • 1/2 cup of Ahuacatlan Avocado Oil
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of flour
  • 1/3 cup of unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts (if desired)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.  Grease a 9 X 9 inch pan

In a medium bowl, mix together the oil, sugar, and vanilla.  Beat in eggs.  Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt; gradually stir into the eggs mixture until blended. Stir in walnuts, if desired.  Spread batter evenly into prepared pan.

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until brownies begin to pull away from the edge of the pan.  Let cool on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
